PPC CPA Alphabet Soup??

Filed under: Macros & Scripting, Blog & Site Automation, Marketing — macroking @ 10:45 pm

So, a few months back I heard about this soon-to-be-released course all about marketing CPA offers (Cost Per Action for those who don’t know the lingo) via PPC traffic (Pay Per Click like Google Adwords, etc.) This was something that really interested me in no small part because I had some friends who had just made a BUNDLE of cash in a very short amount of time from CPA lead offers. They weren’t using PPC, but still… it intrigued me.

Project Black Mask is a Scam?

Filed under: Blog & Site Automation, Random Goodies, Marketing — macroking @ 5:26 pm

OK, no doubt if you’re reading this, you’ve probably been bombarded by marketers telling you to rush out and get your copy of Project Black Mask right away, before everyone else makes all the money and you’re left with nothing. Act now before the price goes up, blah blah blah.

Well, you KNOW I must have a strong opinion about this because I don’t just write product reviews of every little thing that comes along. But lest you think I’m going to shove my affiliate link in your face, and tell you to hurry up and get your copy before it’s too late…

Google Radio Ads, Is this new?

Filed under: Marketing — macroking @ 4:17 am

I swear this wasn’t in my adwords account yesterday, honestly. All I find in internet searches is very old articles from 2006 about Google stepping into this market, and now it’s available in my account. This opens up a HUGE exciting world… as someone who comes from a background in audio & video commercial production, I know the impact that audio advertising can have on people. I’m not yet sure how to incorporate this cost-effectively into affiliate marketing, but I’m excited at the possibilities. Imagine reaching people all over the country via Google Radio Ads when they’re in their cars, the mall, getting their oil changed, whatever. If we can just figure out how to drive them to an affiliate URL easily then this will be huge. Google Audio Ads… wow. Google is going to own all advertising soon I swear.

For the poker players out there…

If this is the kind of stuff happening to people playing poker online, I’m glad I’m not one of ‘em!

I don’t back up often enough

Filed under: Random Goodies — macroking @ 11:23 am

This isn’t exactly news… I’ve been bad about backing up data for 20 years. I’ve lost enough hard drives and valuable stuff at this point that you’d think I’d have learned, but no. I still am just one data disaster away from tears and anguish.

PGInsider has some openings again

Filed under: Macros & Scripting, Blog & Site Automation — macroking @ 2:43 pm

You may or may not have heard of PGInsider, but if you are into the black/grey-hat portal building game, or want to be, it’s a very useful site, in terms of both the discussions that go on there, and especially the tools that get developed. Adam actually goes and builds the tools that the members ask for, and gives them to everyone for free. Pretty dang cool, if you’re willing to chase the search engines.

This domain can’t receive email…

Filed under: Random Goodies — macroking @ 9:29 am

So I don’t know how long this has been the case, but apparently Registerfly’s email forwarding system has gone to hell, and I’ve been unable to receive ANY emails to this domain at all for… weeks? Months? I don’t even know! I should have just set it up as its own mail domain way back when, I just didn’t bother. Forwarding was simpler… but now I’m seeing the dark side of that. Anyway, if you’ve tried sending me email and didn’t get a response, try again but send to macroking@pmlinvestments.com and it should get through.

More way to monetize online activity…

Tired of AdSense? Time to kick things up?

Filed under: Marketing — macroking @ 11:51 am

Whether you’re a portal builder who’s gotten hammered recently by yet another round of search engine changes, or you just want to add yet another stream of revenue to your online business… I think we all need to know more about selling products instead of just chasing clicks.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve certainly bought plenty of things through clickbank. I’ve even considered selling my own products that way. Then I start to think of all the time involved in creating the product, in putting up the web site, making all the order links & systems work properly, handling affiliates & customers, etc. Too much headache! So, I’ve not done it yet.

Someone just saved me a lot of time…

Filed under: Random Goodies, Programming — macroking @ 12:13 am

A while back, a “big league” adsense earner gave me some heads up about using properly formatted code on my pages, so that the SE spiders would handle it better and rank the pages better. His arguments on the whole made sense, and I certainly couldn’t argue with his income levels. But I just never took the time to really figure out all the areas of proficiency I needed to have when it came to coding my templates properly. HTML and CSS can be such a pain in the rear!
